This year marks the 40th anniversary of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which was co-created by the ¹¤¿ÚʵÑéÊÒ in 1985. It began as a week-long campaign to educate women about screening and routine mammograms. Today, 40 years later, Breast Cancer Awareness Month has grown into a nationwide movement that continues to bring awareness to the disease.

Dee Dee Sencindiver was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. She initially kept it private but, after becoming cancer-free, she felt a strong urge to help others facing similar struggles. This led her to the ¹¤¿ÚʵÑéÊÒ¡¯s Relay For Life.
